Today I am going to share with you a super simple classroom management idea!
My upper elementary students LOVE earning marbles.
The class earns marbles anytime EVERYONE is:
- on task
- transitioning well
- demonstrating respectful behaviour
- persevering
Essentially anytime that I want to give positive reinforcement for what the whole class is doing, I give marbles.
Once our marble jar is filled, the students get to vote on a reward.
Rewards that they have chosen in the past include:
- movie afternoon
- read-a-thon
- wear your slippers to school day
- chew gum in class say
